My friends' team was not doing very well on the basketball tournament, however, I was still enjoying the game a lot, and also trying out the new photo-effect that I started using when taking pictures. Looks kinda cool.

Visiting the Anglo-American School

Today I was visiting the Anglo-American School in Moscow with my friends, as they were participating in a basketball tournament going on in there.
It was a very interesting experience, and I should say this is the first place I visit in Moscow that made me feel exactly like I was actually in the States and not in Russia. As I entered the school, I immediately had a feeling like I was back in high-school that I was visiting in California few months ago in September as a part of cultural study.
Well, in this school have about 2,000 students (most of whom are kids of American, Canadian and British embassies' workers, but there are also some Russian kids there) and there is a huge bunch of stuff. I guess the amount of stuff would be enough to fill another little school:)
I asked some people how much it is to study there, and they just said it is more expensive than to study in American college, so my guess is about 20 grans $ per year.

The most interesting part, however, is that they have a little city built around the school, and it is kind of hidden in the forest, so no one from the outside can actually guess there is another town hidden in there.
It was cool walking through the streets of a mini-city inside Moscow, and it consists only of American-type houses (most of them are 2-storied with a garage in front, so that adds to the feeling that you are actually in States), and the houses are decorated in a very American style. Also you can only hear English when people are talking. So when I was asking for directions, I had to do it in English. Trust me, it's a very weird feeling, when you know the whole action takes place in Moscow.
Below is a sneak-peek of one of the streets of this little American city inside Moscow.

Gleb, me and Nastya enjoying the weekend days. I also have 2 weeks off from university and not too much work right now, so that adds to the time I can use for rest.

Here we were playing a game, where I had to call a girl that I didn't know (who was a friend of my friends) and then I had to convince her on the phone that I really liked her and ask her to go on a date with me. Some girls were not buying it at all, but some seemed to be more ready for the unexpected adventure.
