Today I visited my InterExchange office again and brought in all the necessary documents for the embassy, so now I am only waiting for the interview. They said it's most probably going to be on the 1st week of March. I am just a little nervous, but in general it's great that I am done with all tuitions and papers and that embassy interview is coming so soon:)hopefully i'll get a visa and will then plan some more details of my trip:)
BTW, it was also my first day of spring-semester at university today, and...I overslept it...and was late for my class...lol...oh,what a fabulous start. well, i'm quite known for oversleeping and waking up late:)

I am enjoying my 1,5 weeks break, while I am totally off from classes and only working maybe 2 days a week, so that's all in all positive:)
Meanwhile, today we had another planning group meeting for the English Camp. Only 7 weeks to go:) I feel like there is gonna be a lot of fun in the camp, and everything will be so new and different from previous years, but I also I feel like there is still so much preparation to do in a really-really short period of time.

Oh, wow, I guess I am getting nuts a little:) It's my 3rd night in a row with staying awake really late into the night (actually, morning), getting acquainted and chatting with people via Internet, and also watching movies and a 2004 TV Show "The Orange County" (thanks to my friend Anya who introduced me to that one:). I really like it, especially that the action takes place in California, so it's almost like looking forward to what might be awaiting me this summer:)
anyway, it's already 6 AM right now, I know it's really weird, I don't feel like sleeping, maybe I don't have to??
Well, maybe I'll give it a try...or maybe i'll just go grab a cup of coffee...
(ps. already 7 am and, no kidding, i am still watching it. addiction is no good i guess:)

Below is a funny (and quite peculiar) video of a flash-mob that took place last week in NYC and 9 other cities, including Toronto and Portland. On a 7th Annual "No Pants" Subway-Ride day around 900 New Yorkers were riding the subway in their underwear only.
What a weird thing to do, especially in the winter time:) maybe the other day some brave people will do it in Moscow as well:) quite an experience for flash-mobbers and people around. And 1 more thing that bothers me: what was the temperature?
ps. I really doubt though that in Russian culture such an event would be even possible:(

My friend from San-Diego confirmed that he is ready to host me during the summer, so it looks like I am coming to California!

I am recently taking different tests on-line to understand better what kind of personality I am. I believe, that can really help when interacting with others around me. BTW, today I had my last exam in the winter-session (yay! now I have 1,5 weeks before my spring semester starts), and the exam was on Business Communication. Starting French language-studies: Je parle un pue francais!

Bonsoir! (which means Good Evening in French:)
This week I started studying French language. I am still learning German of course, but as soon as I don't really see many practical ways to apply it, I am not that successful.
Well, I started learning French because I know exactly where and how it can help me, so my motivation is much stronger, hence I learn it faster. I already know some basic rules and simple phrases and can participate in simplest dialogues...probably...
I can say things like: Je parle anglais et un pue francais (which means: I speak English and a little French:)
It's quite an experiment, because I don't use any real people or native-speakers to teach me, but I am only studying with the help of Internet: audio on-line course "French for English-speakers" (they have a very good material there, I am already on Lesson 5!), some grammar web-sites and other useful things (like videos and music in French) that you can always find on-line.
I am looking forward to making progress fast and hope to do so.

Today I paid the second and last tuition for my American trip this summer, so the next step is doing the paper-work for the embassy and then having the embassy-interview around the beginning of March to get my visa.
What a relief, they told me in the office today that this year the paper-work will be easier and I won't have to fill as many papers as I did last year.
However, they also told me the Tax Return process is going to take more time, than it was previously expected, so I might not get the money I am expecting in April. They said it might take till July...hmmm...
Anyway, it's good to be already looking forward to the embassy-interview. Time is going fast:)

My friend from California Alan messaged me and offered to stay at his place in San-Diego during the summer. That really sounds like a great opportunity to me. Well, the chances of visitng Canada are kind of becoming less then, but on the other hand, I will be able to visit my friends in California and also visit Hollywood and maybe even meet some famous people and of course enjoy the ocean, beaches and sun.
Right now San-Diego is my main option, but who knows, maybe not the last one.

Oh, well, I am just in between 2 semesters at university, and it would be so sweet to go somewhere right now for a week or so, where there is ocean and beach. Ok, sea and beach would work too. I just want to relax, chill and get some suntan.
