Another day off - hiking, biking, church and more...

Today was a very long day as I have visited quite a bunch of new places as I always do here, when I have some free time.
Hopefully, soon I'll find some people to hang out with, but as for now I am doing everything by myself.
The good thing about it is that I can do plenty of things during the day and I can change my plans when I want to. Still, it will be cool to find someone for a company.
I spent the morning riding around the city and exploring some new places (even though Gl.Sp. is small, I found out that there are plenty of small streets and they are quite hidden and even quite far from the downtown.
Then I rode to the Hanging Lake National Park which is about 10 miles from Gl.Sp.
There I made my hiking tour. It was very interesting as it was my first real hiking experience. It was about 1,5 hours up and then 45 minutes down.
In the very beginning of the tour there was a sign saying that the tour was very difficult and that everyone had to be sure to have plenty of water and special hiking shoes. I didn't have enough water, neither did I have right shoes, but still it didn't appear to be difficult at all, and it was actually awesome.
Half of the tour was through the mountains, another -through mountain "rainforest".
In the very end there was a very beautiful waterfall named "Hanging Lake", it really looked like the lake was "flying". I was a little unlucky, because my camera batteries died when I approached the very target of the route.

In the evening I went to the church (Summit Bound Church) for the very first time here in Gl.Sp.
They had a small bible class and we were looking through Philipians. There were around 15 people there, and even though they were all mostly from 40 to 60, it was still interesting there.
Many of them approached me and we got acquainted and in the end they even asked me if I was going to come on Sunday.

Sure wish i could have gone on the hike with you:( Love the pictures- I especially like the railroad track one. Glad you are the type to get out and explore- beats sitting inside being bored.. though you could always play me settlers again:) Thanks for keeping your blog current. You are doing a better job than I am..

The thing is that I won't go there this Sunday, because I it's not my day off. I wish I could though...
