Well, it's Orthodox Christmas today and tomorrow in Russia. I personally don't do anything special on that day, usually everything is going on around 25th of December.
Even more, I don't really find the way they celebrate Christmas in the Orthodox Church anyhow representing the joy of the day. It's always quite gloomy, at least looks like that on TV. If I would have no idea of what Christmas is about, I don't think I would be able to understand it from observing the Orthodox Christmas performance.
Today I just went to my church, and there was supposed to be a special service there, but I didn't feel it was very special, just good.
So now I am back home, have the whole day up to myself, doing pretty much nothing. I decided to go around Internet and find some useful programs that I can download for my computer. So I found this Picasa.
I heard about it a lot, and indeed seems to be quite handy program.
I just took one of the very old pictures from my archive(I am on the left; and it's also my mom and yonger brother; I think it's back in 1995 in the Moscow Zoo) and worked on it a little bit. I like how you can add shadows and scattered lightning and all.
It's also cool that there is a straight connection between Picasa and Blogger.
(small update:) I just called my friend David who is in Tuva with the family, it was good talking to him and definitely makes my day more positive and good! Talking to good friends is really great:)Hope we'll be able to meet this summer (maybe, even in Canada:))
Ok, I think I go get some food now.
