I just finished reading this book, and I can say that this is one of those few books that only makes sense in the very end of it, but the sense is really deep and the whole story makes you think.
The story is about a guy with dissociative identity disorder, who kind of creates his own world and creates people that never existed, in order to struggle with his sins and understand who he really is.
The main hero in some sense reminded me of myself, probably that's why I enjoyed reading this book so much.
I liked the last paragraph - extract from the book of Romans:
"I do not understand what I do...It is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me...For what I do is not the good I want to do;no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing...I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me...I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin...I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin".
[Bible: Romans 7:15-25]
