Non-stop raining in New York

It's raining practically every day here in New York this summer so far. The season really started off track, as we almost don't get any sunny days, and the forecast says the whole summer is expected to be like that, with lots of rain. I don't mind rain that much, as it makes the air clean and fresh and feels nice. Meanwhile, my room mate, who is a private tennis instructor(hence, totally dependable on the weather), is not happy about the weather at all. He told me, out of last 60 days, 34 were rainy days, and for him it means he can't go teach tennis on courts.
Well, it's only 11 days before I fly to Florida, so hopefully I will get my portion of sun there:)
