Studio photo-shoot with Yulia P.

Once I got my new camera, I stepped right into photographing my friends and everyone who wants to be in a photoshoot.
On Friday night I met with my client Yulia. She asked me to get several different images of her that she could use in her future portflio.
We spent good 3 hours in the studio, taking pictures, changing the lighting and shadows, applying make-up and doing hair and styling, and just getting through a very fun process.
In the end my model Yulia and her friends absolutely lovd the pictures. However, I also got some negative feedback from more conservative observers - they thought some of my images were crossing the line and were not appropriate, it actually turned into a very live and hot discussion on facebook.
Here I must say that I do take critics and always consider it, but at the same time I always stay true to my own perception of style and appropriateness, and my esthetics of how the image should look.
TIP for photographers (based on my experience): when in a limited time frame, don't try to squizze too many different styles in the same photo-shoot. You can end-up stressing out a bit because there won't be enough time for everything.
Overall, great experience, and great time with Yulia! She is already interested in more photo-shoots with me.
